What you get
Before the dismissing of the Mattel console from the market, the distribution was take in charge by INTV..
This manufacturer produced many more interesting games (and some successful one). Those new games where distributed with cheap boxes and without overlays.
Exactly the same destiny of other products made by third part softcoms like Coleco.
The artist Roger Matthews focus on all the 37 ”uncomplete” games and give us all the needed overlays and some variants too, for a total of 78 rare items.
In addiction, you have a nice manual, designed by David Harley, where to find interesting infos about the steps of development.
A quality product
Those overlays are wonderful!
Many of them are better than original ones from ‘80.
The colourful design is surely the best point in the work of Roger, but you also need to check the manufacture: the supports are elastic, scratch proof, and they fit perfectly in the joypads.
The painting is totally joined to the plastic and no risk to ruin them even subjecting them to an extended use.
Well done, Roger! |
